Gentle Consulting Awarded New Project At The University Of Southampton

Following the successful completion of the Mountbatten Phase 2 project, Gentle Consulting have now been awarded a further phase.
Utilising the existing team, who have experience of the building as well having struck up good working relationships with the building users, Gentle Consulting will review current issues with existing installations and procedures which are causing the building users and the Estates and Facilities Department difficulties. Gentle Consulting will adopt a pragmatic approach to the issues with the target to give the client / users a prompt economic solution.
As well as Project Management, Gentle Consulting will provide the role of Principal Contractor under the CDM regulations.
The project was instructed by the client in September 2010 and is expected to last approx eight months. The budget for the works is expected to be circa £1.5m.
The scope of the project includes wowrks to key production plant such as the DI Water and Waste Water Treatment plant.
Gentle Consulting will also review issues where the users' requirements have changed and modifications to the building are required.
