The cost consultancy function receives a reciprocal benefit from the ready access to practical construction and buildability advice. This allows for more accurate cost forecasting given the ability to identify potential construction difficulties/risks and plug gaps in the available design information. Our approach to value management is also aided by this practical construction knowledge. Early and close interrogation of the design allows buildability issues to be identified and resolved in advance of detailed design or construction activities commencing.
