Gentle Consulting Partners With Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity
14th Apr 2010
Gentle Consulting is pleased to announce the Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity (www.cmhcharity.org.uk) as its chosen "site" charity for the Building 62 Decommissioning project it is managing for the University of Southampton. CMCH supports the teams working within the hospice to provide a complete range of specialist palliative care services required by over 3,000 patients with life-limiting cancer in Southampton and South Central Hampshire.
Kat Linsley Hood, Head of Fundraising for the CMCH said "We are very grateful to have been chosen to be Gentle Consulting's charity of the year. Every penny raised by the community and given to the hospice enables the charity and hospice staff to enhance the care available to patients and their families and carers. This is all over and above that provided by the NHS and therefore makes a real difference to the lives of so many people".
Gentle Consulting hope to raise £1,000 by the end of the project, which is scheduled for completion in February 2011. Money will be raised by asking for donations for surplus items salvaged from the decommissioning of the University's Biomedical Sciences building, a site tuck shop and fund raising events - more details to follow.
At launch, we have already raised £102 - only £898 to go!
