Gentle Consulting is working within the University of Southampton Programme Management Unit, acting as Decant Manager for the major redevelopment of the Boldrewood campus. This complex decant project will see building occupants and assets relocated from the existing seven storey 30,000m2 biomedical facility to various other locations across the University campuses on a phased basis in preparation for its demolition.

The appointment includes the strategic planning/management of all decant activities relating to space allocation, programme, risk, communications, disposal/recycling and health and safety. The project will see the clearance and handover of around 1000 individual spaces to the demolition team in a controlled and managed fashion including the safe removal/recycling of all redundant loose items. Gentle Consulting is also acting as move manager, undertaking the detailed planning for the specific relocation sub-projects.
