The project involved the strip-out and complete refurbishment of an existing chemistry building, to provide specialist teaching areas with associated office space. The works included creating a link with the adjacent Building 25, to form the new regional e-science centre. The existing cryogenics teaching and research facility was also relocated into Building 25 requiring the strip-out and refurbishment of redundant laboratory space.
Gentle Consulting provided project/construction management, cost consultancy and planning supervisor services including the co-ordination of all trade package contractors and contract administration.
